The Climate Crisis and Education Act implements a polluter fee on fossil fuels at their first point of entry into the state. The revenue generated for the state from this fee will provide $350 million for Maryland's school system, provide funding for investment in renewable fuels, and provide rebates to Maryland residents to offset the economic burden of climate change. This legislation combines market-based solutions and green investment to move Maryland towards a bright and healthy future.
